Yolk Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading international technology company who design, manufacture, test, and supply equipment on an international scale.

As an experienced Buyer you will work closely with the team and support with responsibilities such as Sourcing, Purchasing, Project Management and Negotiation. This is a multi-disciplined role so you will be able to balance workload and tasks given.

This is what you'll be doing

• Set budgetary targets and negotiate terms and conditions
• Set and monitor the total performance of the supply chain for quality, quantity and adherence to requirements to identify areas for improvement.
• Establish and set improvement plans which will target the total process for the supplier
• Analyse, review and report upon developments within the supply chain/engineering fields that can be applied to the supply chain
• Maintain the information systems, implement changes that will simplify procedures, eliminate inaccuracies and reduce discrepancies.
• Set and monitor the total performance of the supply chain for quality, quantity and adherence to requirements to identify areas for improvement.
• Manage and maintain effective housekeeping practices.

The experience you'll bring to the team

• Previous experience working in a similar role, ideally working with cost reductions
• Previous experience working in production/manufacturing is desired
• Ability to multitask and communicate with team members
• Computer literate, experience using Excel is preferred
• Able to work off own initiative and be able to work as a part of a collaborative team
• CIPS qualification or equivalent
