Claims Specialist
An exciting opportunity to join an insurance company based just in Newport are looking for a Claims Handler to join their team. If you have previous experience within Insurance and Claims then please apply today.
This is what you’ll be doing

To effectively adjust claims and manage all aspects of the claims function to achieve performance and ensure the company provides an excellent claims service to all clients, customers and underwriters in

  •  To investigate all claims and adjust fairly
  • Set claims reserves accurately and liaise with underwriters to discuss claims outside of delegated authority levels
  • Appoint loss adjusters where necessary
  • Ensure claims work flow is streamlined and managed effectively to achieve key service levels
  • Review all claims before sign off and authorising payment
  • Review claims for peers
  • Assist with all external audits
  • Produce accurate and monthly claims reporting
  • Work with IT to build and produce new claims reporting information
  • Challenge existing processes and procedures to ensure that excellent service is delivered to our clients and customers
  • Assist with department training
  • Keep up to date with all FCA regulations
  • Monitor and address all complaints
The experience you’ll bring to the team
  • Previous experience within insurance and claims is essential
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of analysing data
  • Excellent communication skills
