Yolk Recruitment has a new opportunity for a CNC Programmer/Setter to join this industry leading precision engineering business in a role with variety, the opportunity to develop your career and plenty of  overtime available. 

You’ll be Milling and Turning in a low volume role requiring you to programme from drawings using Siemens and Fanuc, offline available.  It’s small to medium engineering, varied in complexity, working with 3, 4, and 5 Axis machines and a broad range of materials. 

In addition to machining the right candidate will have opportunity to be involved in additional projects, from supporting colleagues to developing internal processes and taking part in continuous improvement activities. 

This is what you’ll be doing as CNC Programmer/Setter

• Program, set and operate multiple CNC milling machines and CNC lathes

• Programming of CNC 3, 4 and 5 Axis machines (Milling and Turning). 

• Read and interpret engineering drawings. 

• Inspection and recording of all relevant dimensions. 

• Completion of all documentation and record labour bookings. 

• Provide support and training to other team members when required 

• Involvement in 5S & Continuous Improvement activities throughout the business unit, contributing to business improvement meetings and projects as and when required
