​CNC Setter/Operator

£20 per hour, 6 month contract

This is an opportunity for a time served CNC Machinist with a background turning to join a professional organisation with a strong team culture on a 6 month contract with potential for longer. You'll be producing high quality parts for a global leader in precision engineered parts, small to medium sized parts, mostly one offs with some low volume batches.

This is a two shift role working 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm, while some night shifts may be required from time to time with plenty of notice. Overtime is readily available for those who’d like to make the most of their earning potential.

Your role will be to:

• Set and run CNC lathes

• Inspect components with the equipment provided to ensure that they meet the drawing tolerances stated, to the quality required

• Meet quality requirements

• Work with other areas of the business as appropriate

The experience you’ll bring to the team

• Essential: previous experience Setting/Operating CNC machinery and turning. 

• An apprenticeship is advantageous

• Programming experience is advantageous but not essential
