Communications and Engagement Specialist

The opportunity
Yolk is working with a great organisation to find an individual who is looking to take the next step in their marketing career. 

This is a busy and exciting role, with great opportunities within. We are looking for someone who is motivated and driven, who is multi-skilled in a communications field.

You will also be required to take part in the on-call rota for out of hours media contact.  

What you will be doing as a Communications and Engagement Specialist:
The role will be split into two parts, news desk and campaigns, in which you will rotate on a regular basis. You will be dealing with a large array of stories and campaigns in which quick turn around will be needed. You will also be:
  • Identifying opportunities to share great stories about the organisation.
  • Developing campaigns in line with key priorities to raise public awareness.
  • Support, brief and advise senior management on major operational, corporate and policy issues.
  • To assist in media and communications training.
What the Communications and Engagement Specialist will need:
  • News desk experience.
  • Understanding of media law.
  • Come from a marketing/campaigns background.
  • Have experience dealing with positive and negative news stories.
