​We are working with a not for profit organisation who are looking for a Compliance and Assurance Business Partner on a 3 month FTC to join their team. The role will be responsible for governance, assurance and compliance activities are customer- focused, aligned to our business, pragmatic and proportionate.  Act as a key member of the Governance Team in providing a responsive, efficient and professional service to our colleagues and customers.

What you will be doing as Compliance and Assurance Business Partner

  • Ensure all statutory returns and associated documents are filed with registrars, government bodies and regulators.

  • Support the Director of Governance, Strategy and Performance through undertaking analysis and advisory work to establish processes and controls that reduce the risk of non-compliance.

  • Raise awareness of key regulations and standards, encouraging a culture of compliance; this to include the maintenance and update of mandatory and other training relating to governance, assurance and compliance.

  • Design, develop and maintain rigorous and effective systems of operational compliance.

  • Provide team leadership, in support of the DPO, on effective information governance practices and GDPR compliance.

The experience you’ll bring to the team

  • Provide advice on the development systems and processes and be comfortable recommending solutions to reduce risks of non-compliance.

  • Demonstrate an analytical-thinking approach with the ability to think objectively and demonstrate sound judgement.

  • Have an understanding in respect of matters that might affect the organisation, and continually and actively develop technical knowledge in relation to the regulatory and statutory frameworks governing the organisation and its activities

  • Be able to work independently and be willing to take initiative, demonstrating an ability to find solutions to problems whilst recognising risks and implications of suggested action

What you’ll get in return

  • Salary of between £30,000 - £35,000
