Construction Manager - £600 a day inside ir35 - Royston - hybrid (2 days WFH) - 12 months (extensions likely) - one stage virtual interview - Sector: Green technology / Manufacturing
Yolk Recruitment are on the lookout for a Construction Manager to work with a world leader in green technology and manufacturing.
This is an exciting opportunity to execute the construction of a large-scale renewal programme. This includes construction planning, design, engineering, supervision, and coordination.
Responsibilities include maintaining the scope, schedule and budget for all assigned projects and ensuring client, H, S &E and quality objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
- Construction supervision of multiple engineering projects. Responsible for ensuring timely implementation of projects, to budget and to delivered to the requirements.
- Ensure adherence to Site procedures and Ways of Working.
- Ensure timely ordering, delivery, installation, and commissioning of equipment.
- Assist in the development of project Capital Expenditure requests.
- Ensure completion and handover of the project to the client's satisfaction.
- Timely reporting of project progress and identification of issues which may affect schedule, budget, or quality.
- Prepare concise technical reports as required by the project.
- Work as part of a project team to deliver successful projects. Plans own workload and prioritises activity.
- Management of various contractors as pertinent to the project.
- Provides in and out of hours supervision of construction works as required by the project.
- Develop understanding of the companies Sustainability policy and implement in project design where relevant.
- Ensure all construction and demolition waste is disposed of in the correct manner and in accordance with the companies Waste Management policy.
Core Skills:
- Hold or be capable of training in CDM/IOSHH/NEBOSH qualifications.
- Good understanding of Production, Maintenance, Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental and Administration practices within a manufacturing / engineering environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills required.
- Read process and mechanical drawings and have a working knowledge of general machine design standards.
- Working knowledge of generating equipment and installation specifications.
- Good working knowledge of the relevant H&S legislation for the relevant country.
Desirable Skills:
- Commissioning and operating experience
- Experience withing a chemical or hazardous material project.
