The opportunity

The rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paralegal to join the In house Commercial & Legal team. This position would be 2-3 days a week in the Bath office with flexibility to work from home 2-3 days a week.


Within this role you will be working alongside a team of legal experts. You will have the opportunity to utilise your knowledge in a practical way by working collaboratively with the Commercial and Legal team and other business functions.
 
As a Construction paralegal, you will be responsible for:
 
  • Offering all round support for the team
  • Liaise with Project teams in arranging the execution of construction-based agreements including appointments, Collateral Warranties, Novation Agreements and Sub-Consultancy Arrangements
  • Follow training on key clauses fond in professional services agreements, data inputting into an online project management system as part of reporting
  • Carrying out ad-hoc research tasks
  • Interpreting legal documents and providing a synopsis to the team
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating simple commercial agreements, non-disclosure agreements and reliance letters
  • Assisting on procurement contractual matters
  • General administration support for example, photocopying, scanning papers, typing, formatting and modifying documents, reports, correspondence and spreadsheets
  • liaising with a variety of teams including project teams, IT, HR, Finance and marketing to collaborate and coordinate operations
  • Maintenance of electronic and hard copy files, networking in the bath office
  • Supporting timely project management and resource planning by ensuring documents under your control are completing and filed on time
 
 
The experience you will bring to the team:
  • Experience as a paralegal or legal assistant within Construction law or Commercial law
  • Great organisational skills
  • Strong IT kills across Microsoft office 360
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Self-motivation and clear thinking; able to carry out case work accurately and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Ability to work within a team
