Credit Controller

As a Credit Control Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the credit control process, improving cash flow, and providing exceptional support to both internal and external clients. If you have previous experience in credit control or debt recovery, excellent organizational skills, and a client-focused mindset, this opportunity is perfect for you.

This is what you'll be doing:

• Chase clients daily in accordance with payment terms to reduce debtor days.
• Liaise with fee earners to gather necessary files and information for chasing and reminding external clients.
• Generate statements of accounts for external clients and promptly respond to any related requests.
• Engage in regular correspondence with clients to recover outstanding invoices.
• Address client inquiries regarding their invoices in a timely and professional manner.

The experience you'll bring to the team:

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, whether face to face or over the phone.
• Prior experience in credit control or debt recovery.
• Basic understanding of the credit control process.
• Strong client focus, considering the needs of both internal and external clients.
• Confident communication skills, able to interact with clients over the phone.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to work under regular deadlines.
• Problem-solving mindset, effectively resolving day-to-day issues.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Database packages.
