Customer Reltionship Specialist

Are you experienced in building new working relationships? Do you have the ability to display empathy but still get the deal closed? If so this could be the perfect role for you!

This is what you'll be doing

Our client provides care, support and advice for elderly and vulnerable adults across England and Wales. They provide a range of products, services and choices for our customers and their family members. They also support their customers to maintain their independence in their own home with Domiciliary care and Live in Care.

They work in partnership with NHS Trusts, Local Health Boards, Clinical Commissioning Groups, Local Authorities and other Statutory and Voluntary Organisations ensuring pathways are integrated. They are an approved supplier with NHS Shared Business Services for both Patient Discharge Services and Third Party Brokerage. They are looking for someone to join the team andf develop and grow services, existing and new business as well as playing an active role working with the Sales Manager to develop and assist in launching the new service to the market. 

Responsibilities 

  • Start on existing business – Increase call volumes and referrals across all regions
  • Recruit Business Development Executives/Relationship Officers to be based in head office  
  • Identify new business opportunities internally and externally  
  • Opportunities where investment is required you will work closely with Finance and Operations 
  • Develop Business Cases which are robust and evidenced based  
  • Improve growth from enquiry to sales for the CHIP and MCMH services  
  • Identifying decision makers – getting through “gatekeepers”  
  • Produce list of key working relationships   
  • Internally – Registered Manager  
  • Externally – stay close to existing customers to keep up to date with changing situations 
  • Highlight  potential partnerships – In some cases this can be with other private care providers, foundation trusts, charities 
  • Identify upcoming procurement opportunities – link in all tender portals 

The experience you'll bring to the team

  • Ideally some knowledge of Health & Social care – Or working with NHS Partners
  • A proven track record of delivering results & sales in a similar environment
  • Proven experience of hitting & exceeding targets in a Business Development role
  • Ability to deal with an ever fluctuating workload
  • excellent communication skills, good planning and organisational skills, sales drive, budget management, negotiating skills
  • actively participate in the growth and development of the business, through various marketing exercises and work within agreed budgets to ensure profitability of the business
  • You will also need a sound understanding of good care principles and regulations, the ability to build and maintain working relations internally and externally with health professionals, local authorities and all other external stakeholders
  • Cultivate and network and build good leads that can develop into potential business working closely with the operational team
  • Increase referral rates in conjunction with the Customer Care Manager by liaising with relevant local authorities and CCG’s/NHS Trusts making them aware of the existing services in the area
  • Excellent writing ability to assist in the preparation of tender responses
