​Design Engineer

£30 - £35,000 per annum plus benefits

I am currently recruiting for a company that has achieved year on year growth and has continued to evolve since being established. This business fabricates bespoke stainless-steel products to key sectors such as the dairy, food and beverage industries. This is a small but stable business offering a progressive environment for the right candidate.

Due to this continued growth I am working exclusively with this business in recruiting an experienced Design Engineer who will play a key role in driving the business forward with the team currently in place.

As Design Engineer you will carry out customer surveys and produce detailed drawing media for external businesses. This media will be used in the construction of engineering components and the assembly of larger project installations.

Flexibility is key within this role and whilst you will be working set hours you will need to flex with business demands.This role will be accountable for the construction and maintenance of a drawing archive database both in electronic and hard copy formats.

As Design Engineer you’ll be….

• Producing 2D and 3D AutoCad assembly drawings based on customer requirements

• Producing fabrication drawings

• Maintaining the drawing register by engineer and maintain file integrity

• Collating a database of existing drawing templates (electronic & hard copy)

• Ensuring all project drawings are Q.A compliant

• Producing electrical schematic templates

• Providing drawing restoration

• Providing Technical design support to Contracts Managers

• Translating Technical drawings to non-technical minded individuals

The experience you’ll bring to the team

• Auto CAD 3D Inventor or Solidworks experience

• Design Knowledge of Bulk Material Handling Products

• Full Driving License

• Possess analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills

• PC literacy including Word, Excel

• Be technically aware and have the ability to apply this knowledge practically
