Dispatch Administrator

What you’ll be doing?

This successful manufacturing business has created a new vacancy for a Dispatch Administrator to join their busy office. You’ll join a small, friendly team and play a key role in ensuring the delivery of products to high profile customers in and outside of the UK.

  • Identifying items and containers of incoming and outgoing shipments and verifying them against consignment records

  • Ensuring outgoing shipments are in good condition and meet specifications

  • Arranging internal distribution of goods received

  • Organising the despatch of goods with completed documentation

  • Maintaining prescribed records of goods received and despatched

  • Examining shipping documents and verifying product to be released

  • Recording customs clearance requirements and authorising collection of product

  • Calculating storage and clearance charges and billing customers

  • Receiving details of outgoing products, and arranging bookings of freight space and collection of goods from customers

What you’ll bring to the team?

  • Previous experience in Despatch, Stores, Freight, Import/Export will be an advantage

  • Familiarity with ERP systems

  • Microsoft Office skills including Excel

  • Knowledge of import/export regulations is highly desirable but not essential.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills and a good working knowledge of health and safety.

What you’ll get in return?

  • £9 -11 an hour

  • Weekly pay
