EAM Senior Business Analyst - Enterprise Asset Management - IBM Maximo -Enterprise Asset Management - up to £82,500 -10% Pension Contribution- Leading IBM Gold Partner

Yolk Recruitment are excited to be working on behalf of a Gold-accredited IBM Premier Business Partner which has amassed over 300 person years of experience implementing business critical EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) solutions across a range of industries such as oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, utilities, facilities management, transport, and power generation looking for a Senior Business Analyst with knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management and IBM MAximo

As a Senior Business Analyst, the role is to support both the sales and operations teams in a variety of customer related tasks, from initial tender responses, to running deep dive workshops to guide business process development and elicit system and solution requirements. This means, on one hand, you will have a comprehensive but high level technical and functional understanding of solution elements within our portfolio, while on the other hand you will have a broad understanding of the business objectives, challenges and constraints of our potential customers and an ability to build confidence and trust through articulate and credible explanation of how our proposed solutions address their needs. A good functional knowledge of IBM Maximo and other EAM software technologies is desired for this position, along with the ability to run customer facing workshops and requirement gathering sessions.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Support the Sales team in the extraction and clarification of customer requirements and pain points. Understand the business context and goals in order that subsequent presentations and solution demonstrations are appropriately targeted and costed.
  • Develop solution demonstration story-boards and delivery scripts.
  • Prepare demonstration environments and supporting content.
  • Rehearse and deliver client solution demonstrations.
  • Maintain in depth and up to date knowledge of relevant business drivers, typical customer needs and the EAM/CMMS competitive landscape.
  • Actively develop product expertise in EAM and field service products.
  • Work closely with the Solution Architecture team in translating business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
  • Own completion and authoring of documentation including, but not limited to: RFI, RFP, Requirements gathering documents, user story creation etc.
  • Run customer facing workshops at various point of the sales and project lifecycle.
  • Responsibility for developing clients Functional Specification documents according to Peacock's standards/procedures.
  • Use Requirements gathering software to correctly document use cases and user stories to feed the development cycle
  • Understand the DevOps process and contribute to the traceability matrix of solution development
  • Provide a professional and calm communication point for the client when discussing system requirements

Skills & Personal Qualities - Required:

  • You're a confident public speaker and are comfortable independently running workshops, demos, presentations, and other customer facing engagements.
  • You are commercially aware and are able to articulate the value of our proposition in a context that the customer will relate to.
  • You are self-managing and able to organize your work to meet both the short-term and medium-term targets. You are comfortable identifying improvement and development opportunities and fitting these around more time-bound deliverables.
  • You are a lateral thinker and problem solver. You are able to think broadly around a client problem and to use experience and past implementations to support options identification and solution development.
  • You have a natural curiosity and are motivated to extend your understanding and capability on the solution components that we sell, maintaining an understanding and personal education of trends, standards and emerging technologies.
  • You are a fluent English speaker and can read and write complex sales documents and tender responses when needed.
  • You can effectively identify and summarise business needs taking into account the likely efficiency of delivery of different options.
  • You can evaluate the value of those different requirements and likely costs to ensure prioritisation delivers best customer value.
  • You can articulate your decision making effectively and clearly orally and in writing.
  • You are innovative, able to understand the client's business problem and translate this into a solution which can then be technically architected
  • Your communication skills, written and oral, allow clear and unambiguous understanding of a complex solution by a range of levels within the customers organisation, with where needed analysis of options and their business value impact in terms of financial, technical and regulatory needs.
  • You can guide and improve Peacock Engineering's systems and processes for overall performance improvement, helping others where necessary.
  • You are comfortable with large audiences and can use structured tools and techniques to elicit business, data and system requirements rapidly and to efficiently feed the design process.
  • You have industry experience of system implementation and will most probably be educated to degree level or above.
  • You can define at a functional level suitable system tests to allow proof of correct development, and have a clear view of usability and user acceptance criteria.
  • You can manage requirements throughout the whole delivery life cycle and ensure that requirements can be traced in the design, build, test, tender and evaluation phases, so that the solution aligns with business goals.
