Electrical Maintenance Technician

Are you a strong Electrical Engineer? This is an opportunity to join a local SME engineering company who provides 3rdParty maintenance services to Heavy and Agricultural industries.

This is what you’ll be doing.

You will be responsible for covering various sites throughout South Wales taking control of a busy manufacturing areas covering of all aspects of machinery breakdown, installations and upgrades.

Tasks will include:

• Maintaining and repairing equipment in line with schedules and specifications to ensure reliability and limit breakdown occurrence Equipment testing, fault finding and repair

• Identifying recurring problems with any equipment or machinery and implementing corrective procedures.

• PLC Fault finding utilising the OEM software to interrogate via a laptop or HMI.

• Support installation and decommissioning projects

• Supporting and promoting all continuous improvement activities on site

The Experience you’ll bring to the team.

• Apprentice trained or HNC/ONC

• 2 years manufacturing experience based within a Heavy Industry setting including Steel works, mining and coal industries.

• Ability to work on own initiative is essential.

• Methodical attitude and an excellent eye for detail.

• You’ll be both versatile and flexible with regards to pro-active & re-active maintenance duties.
