This is what you will be doing as an Engineer Stores Controller
- As an Engineer Stores Controller, you will be a crucial part of the engineering team and will be responsible for managing the stores:
- Sourcing and ordering spare parts
- Completing purchase orders
- Scheduling and maintaining stock levels
- Sourcing new suppliers
- Working with existing suppliers to expedite orders
- Supporting the engineers maintaining/providing equipment they require to complete their daily tasks
Experience you will bring as an Engineer Stores Controller
- Ideally trained in an Engineering background with a minimum of NVQ level 3 or have 3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
- Full Drivers Licence
- 2 years’ experience working within stores in a busy manufacturing company
- Knowledge of common electrical and mechanical parts
- Computer literate – purchasing, scheduling and maintenance software (CMMS)
- Experience in identify parts from drawings and samples
- Have a good knowledge of specifications and measurements
- Confident in working under pressure, and prioritize workload
