Enterprise Architect - Cardiff (mostly remote) - £70,000 to £80,000

Are you passionate about making a difference? I'm working with a key client in Wales who serves millions of customers daily and is now looking to expand its Architecture function. This role would suit someone who has a broad technical background and knowledge of various tools/systems but more importantly, is focused on the overall strategy of an IT function. You'd be expected to focus on road mapping, dealing with "Heads of" and director-level stakeholders across the business and having strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of Enterprise Architecture aligned with business vision
• Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects to ensure comprehensive coverage of all deployed solutions
• Provide strategic guidance on technology vendor and solution decisions
• Develop and implement procedures, roadmaps, and strategies to support IT services
• Analyse technology trends to support agility and cost-effectiveness
• Provide high-level strategic advice for future ICT investment
• Translate business practices into architectures for optimal solutions

Key Skills:

• Experience managing technical teams
• Proficiency in Enterprise Architecture principles
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of technologies supporting business needs
• Ability to lead complex technology programs

Desired Skills:

• Experience in part-outsourced IT contract environments
• Familiarity with managing in a 24x7x365 environment
• Customer-centric mindset with a dedication to excellence
