An exciting Opportunity for Environmental Professionals is now available with a renowned Aerospace company, leading innovative projects.
The role requires an in-depth knowledge of the processes and procedures involved in bringing in, installing and commissioning industrial assets. The main aim is to prevent injury, ill health and loss. You will be mainly focusing on Material, Information and People flows, whilst striving to achieve the top priorities of Product Quality and Safety, Preparing for the future and securing key new developments.
Responsibilities
- Ensure employee safety through competence management, risk assessment and risk reduction, audit and legislative compliance.
- Ensure all industrial asset installations are safe for operation.
- Support and enable the Project Leaders on the scope of the projects and project teams to comply with legal requirements, best practices and policy.
- Identify potential hazards that could lead to injury, ill health and loss and undertake risk assessments.
- PUWER Compliance
- Ergonomic Assessment enablement and support
- CDM compliance
- Identification of statutory inspections required
- Ensure Impacts and Aspects studies are in place
Essentials
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Good working knowledge of PUWER and all other applicable legislation
- Minimum of two years working in a health and safety role.
- Minimum of three years working in a manufacturing environment.
- Working within the framework of formal Environment, Health and Safety management
- systems including: Risk assessment and the identification/deployment of effective controls and Standard Operating Procedures.
