An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Secretary to provide support to the Family department in a long-established Law firm that has been recognised by Lexcel for its high standards of client care and management.
The firm are looking for a driven, experienced individual who has a strong background in secretarial work, a good telephone manner and someone who is a team player. Previous experience within an employment role would be an advantage.
This is what you will be doing:
Audio typing, preparing, and amending draft documents.
Making and receiving telephone calls and dealing with emails
Dealing with clients both in person and on the telephone and assisting clients in the absence of a fee earner.
Making appointments and assisting with queries.
Photocopying, filing and general office duties including opening files and preparing completed files for storage.
Completing instruction sheets on initial attendance with clients.
Drafting divorce papers and completing various forms.
Assisting fee earner with collating and scheduling documents for form E’s, trial bundles and briefs to counsel etc.
Providing assistance to other members of the office.
Providing receptionist cover during absence, holiday, or illness.
Liaising with Accounts Department to obtain cheques, printouts etc., as necessary.
The experience you will bring to the team:
Accurate and fast typing.
Good presentation of letters and documentation.
Good knowledge of English manner.
Good telephone manner.
Ability to deal with clients, intermediaries, and other contacts.
Use of the IT systems in the office.
What you will get in return:
28 days in addition to public holidays
Traditional office hours of 9am – 5pm
