Finance Administrator

We are working with a well-known charity who are looking for a Finance Administrator on a 6-month FTC to aid their team. The role will be responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support as well as ensuring excellent customer care is delivered to new and existing supporters. This involves managing and recording financial data, documenting and acknowledging supporter enquiries and donations for all fundraising activities.

The experience you’ll bring to the team as a Finance Administrator

  • Provide financial support to the charity e.g. receive, handle and produce financial records, along with at times, counting large quantities of money, accept donations over the phone using a point of sale machine.

  • Work closely with colleagues in the Finance and Corporate Services team to ensure fundraising income is coded accurately in line with budget expectations.

  • Under the supervision of the Assistant Financial Accountant, to Input or upload data into the Sage accounting system.

  • Distribute fundraising materials and promotional resources on behalf of the charity as required.

  • Maintain supporter data on the CRM and ensure that all other data systems interface effectively.

The experience you’ll bring to the team

  • Experience of working in an administrative role with some financial responsibilities.

  • Attention to detail and ability to deal with confidential information appropriately.

  • Ability to communication clearly and effectively both written and orally.

  • Ability to prioritise a varied workload and meet conflicting deadlines.
