Yolk Recruitment is delighted to be supporting our client in their search for a meticulous and dedicated Finance Assistant specialising in accounts payable and invoicing. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, offering a challenging yet rewarding role within their finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable: Managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, including processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Invoicing: Generating and issuing invoices, monitoring receivables, and ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Reconciliation: Performing regular bank reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Data Management: Maintaining up-to-date and accurate financial records, including updating supplier and customer information.
- Reporting: Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports and providing support during audits.
- Communication: Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any queries related to accounts payable and invoicing.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar finance assistant role with a focus on accounts payable and invoicing.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with financial software packages (experience with [insert specific software, if any] is desirable).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
Qualifications:
- AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
