Finance Manager (Part Time)

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector and Not for Profit are working with Life Sciences Hub Wales, a charity based in Cardiff to find a Finance Manager to join their team on a part time basis.

LSHW are a leading organisation in the health and social care sector, driving transformational change to create a better future for the people of Wales. Their mission is to accelerate the development and adoption of innovative solutions for better health and wellbeing.

The position is part-time at 22.5 hours per week and is based both remotely and at their office location in Cardiff. This is a great opportunity to be a part of an inclusive, positive and friendly culture, where work life balance and employee engagement is important.

What the Finance Manager will be doing:

  • Maintaining and developing financial systems, policies, and records
  • Overseeing the monthly finance cycle
  • Preparing and presenting accurate management accounts
  • Supporting budget planning
  • Overseeing debtor management
  • Submitting grant income claims
  • Developing a finance business partnering approach

What the Finance Manager will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient in financial software and systems
