Yolk is a recruiting partner for a large Trade Union and professional body which represents and campaigns for its members, influences policy and practice and represents the interests of its members. Yolk Public Sector & Not-for-Profit are working with them on a campaign to fill a permanent vacancy for a Financial  Manager

What you’ll be doing as a Financial Manager

The post holder manages the financial accounting and treasury management function of the Group entities where applicable. The post holder is the day to day lead for the year end process responsible for the preparation of the statutory accounts and all other returns for the Group and entities and manages the preparation of other entity accounts and returns as required. The post holder is the recognised Group expert on all matters relating to statutory accounting regulation including FRS 102 and charity accounting. The post holder is also responsible for the calculation and completion of the Group VAT returns and all entity corporation tax returns. The post holder works closely with the Business Accounts and Finance Systems teams to ensure all financial information and reports are accurate and comply with all applicable accounting regulation and other statutory requirements.


What the successful Financial Manager will bring to the team

Recognised CCAB accounting qualification - Up to date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations - Demonstrable experience of accountable for full yearend audits - Experience of producing Statutory Accounts using FRS 102 and SORP - Preparation of VAT and Corporation tax returns - Experience of direct staff management
