Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a Flight Test Systems Engineer within one of the world’s leading aerospace companies working on next generations flight systems.
You will be part of a cutting-edge propulsion systems team in a state-of-the-art flight test facility working on innovative flight technologies of the future.
Our client emphasize experience over qualifications, we are looking for talented systems engineers who are passionate about what they do and can apply their knowledge and experience to new challenges.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Design Office, Flight Test & Programme to determine and capture Test campaign requirements.
Discover the System elements that respond to the requirements
to be tested, helping design test steps to both confirm conformance to requirements and discover
misbehaviours
Collaborate with other areas of the test organisation to prepare FTI, acquire results and write Test Results Analyses in response to Test Requests. This will involve agreeing measurement chains Instrument type, installation, and acquisition parameters), analysing system performance including interactions with other systems/physical events and presenting findings in a clear, concise manner backed up with demonstrations in plotted data
Collaborate with other areas of Engineering to develop and validate algorithms to support targeted analysis from large datasets and determine trends in system behaviours over fleets / types /campaigns. This will involve designing codes to mine data looking for correlations, outlying behaviours and developing degradations in performance
Skills:
- Experience in Analysing Computer based systems behaviours (Python, C++, Matlab, Labview,
- Databases)
- Familiarity with Logical Systems (AND, NAND, OR, NOR etc, SCADE)
- Familiarity with basic statistical concepts
- Experience of System Integrity (Robustness to failure, Reconfiguration, FMEA, Monitors, Alerts)
Desirable:
- Experience of systems testing techniques
- Experience of Machine Learning
- Flight test analysis experience
