The Opportunity

Yolk are working exclusively with a Bristol based company who are a leading provider of branded eco-friendly packaging and labels. Their labelling software currently covers 75% of the UK market and are looking to grow this with their brand new product that has been revamped over the past 2 years. This has been rebuilt using JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS on AWS. Their main audiences being schools and hospitals all across the UK, they also have presence in USA, Europe and Ireland.

This is what you’ll be doing

You will be adding new features to the product as well as maintenance. At the moment their software only produces labels however are looking to expand their portfolio to produce menus, a market that has barely been touched. You will work closely with the lead developer who has built this new product himself, with the rest of the company standing at around 40 people.

There are also some must haves

• JavaScript (Es6+)
• Frontend tech – ideally ReactJS
• Server-side NodeJS, Apollo Server
• Webpack, Babel, Serverless, Git
• AWS (Lambda, S3, CloudFormation)
• NoSQL, MongoDB
• APIs (REST or GraphQL)

What you’ll get in return

• Salary £30,000 - £35,000
• Remote working – only 1 day per week in the office required
