GOODS INWARDS INSPECTOR - INSIDE IR35 - £23.24 PER HOUR VIA UMBRELLA - STEVENAGE - 12 MONTHS - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS - MUST HAVE NVQ LEVEL 3 & HNC/HND/ONC/OND
Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a Goods Inwards Inspector to join our client's team on an initial 12 month deal working from their major site in Stevenage.
Responsibilities:
As a Goods Inwards Inspector, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all received goods align with the purchase order criteria and comply with the established standards. Your duties include:
- Verifying and accepting procured products in accordance with contractual conditions.
- Reading and interpreting assembly drawings, paying close attention to dimensional tolerances and machining details.
- Thoroughly examining all parts to identify faulty finishing, painting issues, surface deterioration, and conducting first off inspections.
- Generating and maintaining accurate inspection and quality control documentation.
- Completing all paperwork associated with the delivered articles, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Meeting inspection deadlines and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Controlling defective items by segregating them from the good products and initiating relevant defect reports.
- Conducting regular audits to maintain the product verification approval process.
- Inspecting PCBs and ensuring compliance with all applicable procedures related to the manufacturing process.
- Upholding the highest standards of workmanship and product quality.
- Contributing to the maintenance of a safe and organized working environment.
Skillset/Experience Required:
We are seeking a dynamic team player who demonstrates a strong customer focus and adaptability to various work-related processes and practices. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3, TR23, TR21, or HNC, or an equivalent certificate from formal further education.
- Proficiency in SAP is desirable, showcasing your familiarity with relevant software systems.
