Governance Manager, Bridgend, £40,000-£50,000 (3 month FTC)

My client, a third sector organisation based in Bridgend is looking to recruit a Governance Manager on an initial 3-month FTC. The Governance Manager will operate at a senior level within the organisation and ensure compliance with legal, statutory & regulatory requirements.

Role overview:

·We require an experienced Governance professional to lead on providing a high-quality service to our Board, delivering monthly Board and Committee meeting packs and coordinating their preparation across the business

·To provide support and advice to the Company Secretary service (supporting skills matrices and training plans for the Board for example)- knowledge of company secretary role highly desirable

·To provide support to the risk management and compliance services within the organisation, ensuring that the reports are issued to the business as required – knowledge of risk management is desirable

·To develop processes where required to the governance team to ensure that the governance team are able to deliver a high-quality service in a fast-paced environment

·To provide leadership to the compliance officer and the Board facilitator roles (both of which are new in post) and complete their onboarding processes, ensuring they complete their L&D plans for example.

·To lead on updating and maintaining the policies registers and their development within the organisation
