This well-established engineering business manufactures high quality bespoke engineered products, and is part of a successful global organisation who have supplied a broad range of industries for the last 60 years.  As a result of continued growth a new opportunity has been created for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join an experienced team in a role with that will develop your expertise in a number of valuable aspects of mechanical design.

This is what you’ll be doing

You’ll play a key role in realising products in line with customer specifications and quality standards, developing viable, cost effective and reliable mechanical designs from concept to production.  The role will include:

• 3D and 2D modelling
• BOM and mechanical drawing generation
• Design FMEA
• Value Analysis / Value Engineering activities
• Resolving technical problems
• Developing creative working practices

The experience you’ll bring to the team

• Educated to degree, HND/HNC or equivalent in a mechanical discipline
• 3D CAD, Solidworks
• Microsoft Excel
