Yolk Recruitment is exclusively managing a new opportunity for a graduate to join a leading engineering and manufacturing business in an exciting new role that will provide fantastic experience in Design, developing not only your professional CAD experience but providing exposure to the workings of all departments in an engineering powerhouse with an internationally respected brand.

You'll be supporting a Design team on a six month project developing tooling for high profile contracts. You'll be shown how to use the relevant CAD packages and use them to create 2D and 3D models, carrying out mechanical calculations using CAD or by hand, and will soon find you're able to provide creative solutions to interesting engineering problems.

You'll also work with colleagues across the business and with external suppliers, and won't be pinned down to the desk, able to take part in activities supporting the project through production, test and beyond.

This would well suit a graduate looking for an opportunity to accelerate their development in industry, who enjoys variety in a role and working with a team of highly skilled engineers.

This is what you'll be doing

• Working closely with R&D Engineers on mechanical development projects
• Prepare and control drawings for manufacture
• Take part in project meetings, compiling design specifications and creating solutions to engineering problems
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

The experience you'll bring to the team

• Mechanical Engineering qualification
• Some knowledge/experience of 3D CAD and an interest in Design
• Demonstrable experience of managing/delivering engineering projects
