​Head of Architecture

This is an outstanding opportunity for a strategic Head of Architecture to join the Senior Leadership Team of a leading financial services institution as they embark on the next phase of their transformation journey.

As Head of Architecture you will lead the continuous improvement of the Enterprise, Business, IT and Data Architecture capability and culture that is required to enable the delivery of the company’s Strategy, Mid Term Plan and Operating Plans. Promoting the architecture discipline as a key component of strategy realisation by ensuring that its value is demonstrated and that it is embedded in the change lifecycle.

This requires the development, maintenance, governance and communication of the company’s Operating Model Blueprint including artefacts for current state, future state, transition states and roadmap including design principles, outcomes, measures, impacts, inter-dependencies, risks, prioritisation and input to Change Portfolio design aligned to the Value Stream Model.

Key criteria includes:

• Significant experience of successfully deploying and improving Architecture capability to support the delivery of enterprise wide strategic transformation

• Worked in a regulated environment

• Experienced at defining Capabilities, Operating Models, Roadmaps and Change Portfolios

• Experience of functional and matrix management and leadership

• Track record of building high performing teams

• Ideally experienced in performing this role within the Financial Services sector

• Experienced at defining and delivering functional strategies

Technical Skills:

• Deployment of Enterprise Architecture Management approaches, frameworks and tools including Business, IT and Data Architecture

• Knowledge of Organisational Purpose and Strategy development approaches to deliver value outcomes for Customers and Key Stakeholders

• Utilisation of Change Management approaches and tools

• Familiar with enterprise wide, end to end systems thinking approaches

• Strong analytical problem solving skills using data and statistical analysis tools
