Yolk are thrilled to announce that we have partnered with Funding Xchange, a London based Fintech set to open a second office in South Wales at the start of 2020 to house a team of talented engineers.

They are about to embark on an exciting new chapter, offering our platform as a SaaS solution to banks and lenders (currently working with Monzo and MoneySuperMarket) to help them transform their customer experience. Their platform helps SMEs secure business funding cutting the application process down from weeks to just minutes. They are about to embark on a new journey, providing their SaaS solution to high street banks to improve the customer experience.

This is what you’ll be doing

Their first and key hire is that of a Head of Development, someone who will provide technical leadership and coaching for the development teams, and help those teams grow into people who can do the same. It’s an "on the tools" role and you should have hands on experience of Java, cloud architecture, and building sustainable services.

As a Head of Development not only will you be hands on with coding but offer technical leadership to those you work with. Providing coaching and mentoring to junior team members that want to improve not only their technical ability but also professional stature.

There’s also some must haves

• Min 3 years’ experience in a leadership role, working with a cross functional team
• Implementing and maintaining service based architecture
• Java, Spring and Microservices
• AWS services including Lambda
• Able to confidently interact in with client facing discussions and engaging with stakeholders
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies
• Prior experience working within the FinTech industry
