Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a Healthy and Safety Officer to work with a world leader manufacturer in green technology
This is an exciting opportunity to execute EHS activates across the whole site with a small talented team.
Responsibility's:
- Health: Responsible for supporting health and welfare promoting programs; supporting attendance and return to work strategies; supporting on matters relating to occupational health.
- Safety: Responsible for monitoring and reporting on site safety plans; responding to incidents and learning events; supporting behavioural safety initiatives; and supporting reducing risks.
- Environment: Responsible for supporting an environmental management framework for the site; supporting the environmental engineer in ensuring all statutory requirements such as emission levels, effluent discharge, waste management etc. are adhered to through all activities.
- Provides support and coaching on matters relating to EHS, including at EHS meetings; and employs tools and techniques to improve EHS performance.
- Maintains existing EHS programs and policies with responsibility for auditing and behavioural safety observations; as well as reviewing/updating procedures, including involvement in the site emergency planning arrangements.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate or similar H&S Qualification
- Previous EHS experience / proven background in an industrial, process driven or engineering setting.
- Experience of conducting Risk Assessment including ergonomics, DSE, COSHH, Fire Risk Assessment, PUWER Risk Assessment
- EHS legislation - knowledge
- 3 years' experience minimum
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of Confined Space Entry Permits and General Permit to Work
