HR Manager

Swansea

£45,000 - £50,000 per annum

 

Are you a competent and capable HR Manager with experience in a Manufacturing or Engineering environment? Do you work well in a fast paced, dynamic and ever changing organisation where your input is requested and valued? Do you have experience within an international organisation? (Not essential but would certainly be an advantage!)

 

If so, then we'd like to hear from you. Yolk Recruitment are currently working exclusively with one of our clients to hire an experienced HR Manager.

 

What you'll be doing:

 

  • Contributing to organisational development, supporting and advising on any organisation changes and associated headcount adjustments.

  • Collaborating with other managers in the business, including internationally, to develop and implement people management initiatives that help develop and support the employer brand.

  • Developing and implementing measures that create a positive employee relations environment at both the individual employee and collective level, supporting managers in managing any issues that arise in a fair and constructive manner.

  • Implementing systems that assess staff performance, supporting staff development and succession, and addressing performance issue where they arise.

  • Providing training and development programmes that support staff’s personal development and the needs of the business.

  • Analyse salary and benefits data to propose competitive compensation plans

  • Ensuring that HR policy, procedures and practices remain compliant with current legal requirements.

  • Developing and maintaining HR reports and metrics and recommend measures to improve performance, e.g. absenteeism and turnover 

  • Acting as a true business partner, supporting the senior management team in setting and achieving people management objectives.

  • Demonstrating professional credibility to develop and lead HR initiatives, leading by example and with a coaching capability.

  • Interacting and communicating effectively with staff at all levels in the organization, as well as with external bodies, with the confidence to deal with conflicting opinions.

  • Operating in an organised and methodical manner, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

  • Supporting business growth through specialist recruitment, implementing systems and assisting with new plant openings.

The skills and qualifications required:

 

  • Degree level or equivalent in a HR or business-related discipline

  • CIPD level 5 or 7 qualifications or equivalent desirable

  • Practical and up-to-date knowledge of local employment legislation

  • Significant experience in a senior HR position in a manufacturing and engineering environment

  • Proven experience in attracting high quality staff into specialised/technical roles

  • Experience of contributing to international HR organisation and processes

  • Experience in an evolving/growing organisation

  • Knowledge of ERP systems and HR functionality/interface

                                         

The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices. 

 

What you'll get in return:

 

  • Starting salary of £45,000 - £50,000 p/a
