HR Policy Lead
Yolk is a recruiting partner for a large Trade Union and professional body which represents and campaigns for its members, influences policy and practice and represents the interests of its members. Yolk Public Sector & Not-for-Profit are working with them on a campaign to fill a temporary HR Policy Lead. This role can be based in any of their 15 UK offices and will be until Christmas initially.
What the HR Policy Lead will be doing
Provide the People and OD team with some extra capacity to support the policy and project work within the department. The role of the Policy & Projects Lead is to deliver innovative and ground-breaking policy and project work which contributes to the enhancement of the provision of People & OD services and activities in support of our client’s strategic aims, objectives, and operational plans. This includes developing and reviewing people policies and practices to ensure legal compliance and best practice across all employment policies and processes and leading and contributing to people projects.
What the HR Policy Lead will bring to the team
Up to date knowledge of HR processes and policies and basic employment legislation
Successfully delivering HR policy and project activity
Effective management of project group members and stakeholders, including setting clear expectations and delivering feedback
Project Management skills including planning, delivery, and evaluation
Ability to be factually accurate, comprehensive, logical, clear, and precise in communication.
Ability to write in plain English and adapt to different audiences
Listen to customers and stakeholders and engage with their views
Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships both internally and externally
Here’s what the successful HR Policy Lead will receive in return:
Salary of £41,400 in London or £36,990 outside London
