While the opportunity is well suited to an experienced HSE Advisor with a background in manufacturing/engineering/environmental science and NEBOSH qualification, applications are welcomed from candidates with experience in either H&S/Environmental compliance who are looking to continue to develop their careers and benefit from the ongoing professional development available.
This is what you’ll be doing
- Generate, review, modify, write, and implement procedures for environmental purposes
- Provide advice on environmental and health and safety matters
- Monitor environmental processes on site
- Coordinate waste management and waste reduction activities
- Generate, review, modify, write, risk assessments, Safe Working Procedures and COSSH assessments for health and safety purposes
- Assist in implementing processes or procedures for improving health and safety
- Conduct Health and safety assessments of work equipment and activities including recommendations for modifications
- Assist in implementing and maintaining business systems in order enhance environmental and health and safety certification within the company
- Assist with statutory inspections for environmental conformance and health and safety practices
- Compile and analyse data required for reporting at Site and Group level
- Carry out other tasks and duties as required in a day to day role assisting the QSHE team and other departments within the business
- Work to ISO quality management standards
The experience you’ll bring to the team
- Experience in a Health & Safety / Environmental role in manufacturing
- Knowledge of environmental and health and safety law and good practice
- Education or experience in a scientific or engineering field is advantageous but inessential
- Excellent communication skills, able to work at all levels
- NEBOSH qualification is advantageous but inessential
