Information Security Manager

This growing organisation are currently seeking an Information Security Manager to help manage and improve all internal IT security systems and procedures.

This is a newly created role and whilst security has been a key consideration within the business, continued growth and expansion of their product sets has led to the need for a full time Information Security Manager. The organisation is continuing to evolve and the next 2 years will continue to see significant growth and this role will be key to helping to ensure the right processes, policies and security measures are in place to support this.

The Role

You will continue to develop information security practices within the business, ensuring compliance again all security standards, leading the development of policies and procedures, assessing risks and threats as well as providing audits, awareness campaigns and other activities to promote best practice within the organisation.

You will work to ensure that relevant regulatory and legislative requirements are met and will manage and rectify any security incidents, as well as advising management across different departments on how to meet current requirements as well as emerging threats.

You will be working closely with IT teams to assess cyber security risks and issues and ensure that preventative measures are in place to deal with these. The business will be looking to go through ISO27001 and you will put in place the necessary standards to help the business achieve this.

About You

You will be an experienced Information Security Professional within knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR or any other related security standards.

You will have previous experience within an information security role, identifying and addressing challenges as well as conducting audits and helping to develop and implement processes and procedures to promote best practice.

Whilst you may not have worked as an Information Security Manager previously you will be keen to take on the challenges of such a position and will have strong communication skills, able to communicate complex topics clearly and concisely to a range of individuals and groups.
