We are looking for an experienced Windows Infrastructure Engineer to join a well established law firm based in Cardiff. If successful you will be joining at a good time as they look to invest in newer technologies to improve their infrastructure environment. One aspect they are looking into is moving more of their infrastructure into the cloud specifically Azure.
Their infrastructure is heavily Windows based with on prem, virtualised & some Azure hosted servers. To be successful you will need strong 3rd line project & support experience in Windows Infrastructure, exposure to Azure would be beneficial.
They are currently operating hybrid working with 2/3 days per week in the office.
Your responsibilities will be:
Manage and monitor On-Premises and Cloud server infrastructure, including the servers operating systems and software.

- Provide 3rd / 4th line support as an escalation point from the service desk.
- Design and help maintain the standard OS images used on user devices, ensuring applications are at the latest stable version and uphold Security best practices.
- Assist & advise senior management on all matters related to IT Infrastructure, key upcoming projects include a planned cloud migration.
- Ensuring business critical applications and services are highly available and are backed by a strong business continuity and disaster recovery strategy.
- Ensure all operational processes and procedures in relation.
- 3/4 years experience in a similar role
- High level of exposure to Windows Infrastructure Support & project work: Windows Server, AD, Exchange.
- Cloud experience Office 365, Azure would be highly beneficial.
- ITSM systems such as Jira Service Management
- Knowledge / understanding of Cyber Security & Networking principles.
- Basic salary of £50,000 + Discretionary annual bonus.
