Bath (hybrid working options)

£30,000 per annum + excellent benefits

Are you a Communications Specialist who has a flair for copy-writing and creating engaging and memorable content? Are you someone who is capable of creating clear and simple non-technical messaging about technical innovations? Are you proactive and capable of managing project deadlines and chasing others for required information where necessary?

Yolk Recruitment are currently partnered exclusively with a leading consultancy firm to hire a Communications Specialist supporting the IT Division. This role would suit a lateral thinker who is capable of clearly communicating technical messages., in a non-technical style.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Developing communications guidelines and a 'brand voice' for the IT Department.
  • Working with internal colleagues to determine communication needs.
  • Creating case-studies demonstrating successful technology initiatives within the company.
  • Writing clear and simple non-technical messaging about technical innovations.
  • Using analytical tools to measure communication performance. Using data to improve engagement.
  • Compiling reports on communication effectiveness and user engagement.
  • Copy-editing colleagues' drafts and ensuring style consistency before publication.
  • Acting as the 'voice' of the IT Department and responding to posts to digital channels.

The skills and experience you'll bring to the team:

  • You'll be an excellent communicator who can talk with specialists and distil important aspects from technical information for different audiences.
  • You'll have a flair for copywriting and creating interesting and memorable content.
  • You'll have the ability to select the appropriate media to create brochures, infographics, digital signage, presentations, how-to guides, FAQs, posters and email campaigns.
  • You'll possess the ability to communicate empathetically, considering cultural sensitivities, and equitable and inclusive messaging to diverse groups.
  • You'll be organised and able to multitask in a fast-paced business environment.
  • You'll feel comfortable when managing small projects independently.
  • You'll possess the ability to create content using Adobe Creative Suite and screen recording software.
