Internal Sales Assistant 
Are you passionate about delivery top quality service to your customer whilst achieveing business related sales? Do you have experiene working within a builders merchants or similar? If so this could be the perfect role for you

This is what you'll be doing

 

Your main responsibility will be dealing and assisting with any customer contact wether it by via phone, email, fax or in person in showroom. You will have the ability to present and offer advice in resect of the product range to the customer. You will process orders on the computer, keeping the customer aware of any shortages or problems and then offering any alternatives that may be relevant. You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating customer records.

 

  • Advising customers as to the range of products available and prepare relevant quotation. Monitoring quotations with a view to converting them into sales.

  • Taking of sales orders from customers by fax, phone, internet, or over the counter / in the showroom, advising them as appropriate of the products they require.

  • Processing the order on the computer keeping customers aware of any shortages or other problems or alternatives.

  • Once picked, despatch the order on the computer and raise a delivery note or invoice. (If working in Counter Area)

  • Ensure that the counter / showroom area is kept clean, stocked and orderly at all times (ensure sell by dates are checked regularly - if working in Counter Area)

  • Ensure that brochures and price lists are kept topped up, orderly and up to date at all times. (If working in the Counter Area or Showroom)

  • Ensure that Customer Records are kept up to date at all times

  • Prospecting for New Business and chasing existing quiet / dead accounts and following up incoming leads (Visits as well as over the phone).

  • Assist in the research for new products to be introduced to our portfolio

The experience you'll bring to the team

 

  • Ideally have some industry relevant experience or experience working within a builders merchants

  • Chatty, Bubbly, Proffesional with customer service/sales experience

And this is what you'll get in return

  • Salary: £21,000

  • Bonus: Monthly bonus based on hitting area sales target (our team average between £50 - £200 per month, but there is scope to gain much more)

  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, every other Saturday 8am to 3pm

  • Holidays: 22 Days
