Yolk Recruitment is working with a leading professional sports club to hire a Key Account Manager to join their South Wales team.
You will be a sports enthusiast who is able to bring their extensive commercial knowledge and experience to the club. Focusing on driving revenue within the portfolio you will be tying the community and the club together through maintaining revenue and sponsorships.

This established professional Welsh team obtains a vibrant history, has been playing for over a century and is recognised worldwide. They pride themselves on Welsh heritage and their comprehensive history allowing for passionate campaigns driven with the supporters in mind.
Their commercial growth is surpassing current expectations. During the past year the club has seen some of the largest private equity houses. The team is looking for an individual to push the development to new limits.
The club is searching for a dynamic team player to oversee their existing portfolio and be a face for the club when it comes to liaising with partners and sponsors, an individual who is willing to become a part of the club’s culture, spilling the team’s ethos from the inside out.

What you will be doing a Key Account Manager:
  • To ensure our partners and clients receive a best-in-class service and deliverables.
  • To nurture client relationships and deliver an optimal client experience ensuring that
  • business retention is maximised and opportunities for growth are identified and
  • Professionally develop and growing accounts in terms of commercial value.
  • Develop / maintain individual key account growth plans.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are consistently delivered on time and to a high
  • To continually develop a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Communicating weekly and monthly key performance metrics.
  • Proactively developing innovative ideas and commercial opportunities.
  • Working together with other departments to deliver excellent customer experience.
  • Creating and managing commercial events. Effective communication with other
  • departments to ensure successful delivery.
  • To prepare high-quality professional commercial proposals and effectively present to clients.
  • To effectively manage account payments and resolve any client issues impacting payments.
  • Ensure credit control procedures are implemented such that exposure to bad debts is minimised.
  • Give feedback on client experience to managers and their teams aimed at continuously improving service levels and overall team performance.
  • Reviewing and developing operational processes to improve performance and customer experience.
  • Support the Head of Commercial to develop and deliver business growth strategy.
This is what you’ll bring to the team as a Key Account Manager:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills being able to professionally interact with different stakeholders.
  • Significant experience in professional client relationship management with a solid background in delivering commercial growth.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to prepare professional commercial proposals.
  • Confident at negotiating agreements and presenting commercial opportunities to existing and prospective clients
  • The ability and confidence to anticipate and resolve client issues.
  • Well organised and at ease with managing multiple tasks / deadlines.
  • A proactive can-do attitude.
  • Flexible working to include supporting match-day delivery and commercial events
This is what you’ll bring to the team
  • Basic salary of up to £40,000
  • OTE of £10,000-£15,000 in commission
