A small and unique law firm with an office in Caerphilly pride themselves on working in an autonimous way with no time or cost targets. This is a position that offers real work / life balance with the working hours of 8.30 - 5pm with an hour for lunch. This firm are specialist advocates who offer a nationwide advocacy service for blue chip clients and Solicitors and are looking for a Senior Solicitor to deal with day to day queries in relation to advocacy (litigation), mainly landlord and tenant and some debt recovery.

This is what you’ll be doing

• Dealing with day to day queries from the teams (including advocacy, debt recovery and landlord and tenant)
• You will not have your own case load and so you will have the time to assist the team
• You will be the ‘go to’ Solicitor to deal with all queries in the first instance
• You will report to the Director (no monetary targets/ chargeable hours)
• Actively developing business in line with growing the landlord and tenant team and the advocacy offering and identify new areas of business
• Assisting with tender submissions
• Deputising for the Managing Solicitor as and when required
• Instructing advocates to attend hearings on behalf of clients

The experience you’ll bring to the team

• A qualified lawyer ( 3PQE +)
• Experience in Landlord and Tenant litigation and /or debt recover is desirable but not essential
• Experience in litigation is essential
• A following of clients is desirable
• Excellent academics
• A track record of business development and desire to carry out BD and attend networking events
