We are excited to present a new opportunity for a Lead Electronics Hardware Engineer to join a team of diverse experts. In this senior position, the successful candidate will take on a crucial role in overseeing the development of electronics for complex power distribution and control products across multiple programs. They will work closely with customers to thoroughly understand and meet their needs. Leveraging their extensive experience and expertise, they will tackle challenges, achieve objectives, and make valuable contributions towards both short-term and long-term business goals.

This is what you will be doing.

  • Manage obsolescence issues, including risk analysis, cost assessment, re-design considerations, documentation configuration, and obtaining customer approval.
  • Ensure adherence to the Critical Control Documents (CCD) standards.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, suppliers, and various internal departments.
  • Oversee certification, re-qualification, and re-verification activities.
  • Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement practices across all relevant business areas while sharing lessons learned with design teams.
  • Provide support to Supply Chain design engineers.
  • Accountable for cost analysis, OEM collaboration, and proposing ideas for improvement related to customer returns.

This is what you will bring to the role.

  • Educated to a degree level of electrical or electronic engineering.
  • Proficiency with PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design
  • Extensive knowledge in one or more of the following areas: systems engineering, analogue electronics, digital electronics, or mechanical engineering design
  • Familiarity with product design life cycle, qualification, and verification methods
  • Previous experience in engineering management or a leadership role within an engineering environment, including direct people management responsibility.
  • Demonstrated analytical and organisational skills.
