The Opportunity

 

Yolk Public Sector & Not-for-Profit is working with a large and fast-growing regulatory body to support them to recruit a Regulation Lead Specialist  in identifying any areas of concern at a much earlier stage for some of the UK’s largest and most complex Schemes and Administrators. We work constructively with schemes to resolve problems/issues swiftly, putting the saver at the heart of everything we do.
 
What you’ll be doing as a Regulation Lead Specialist
  • A Lead Specialist needs to have a high level of understanding of pensions and or regulation and an ability to apply that knowledge effectively to emerging and often challenging situations as part of the supervision process.  
  • A Lead Specialist will face a different challenge every day and so will need to be positive and flexible. 
  • Must be a credible leader who is open minded, respectful of others, who owns and leads interactions with schemes, sponsors or project and may include line or matrix management of others.
What the successful Regulation Lead Specialist will bring to the team
  • Significant experience of working in a financial/banking/regulatory/legal/pensions environment
  • Knowledge of the commercial landscape and of the pension market and knowledge of the underlying financial arrangements common in the market
  • Proven track record of managing a casework portfolio (or equivalent)
  • Proven critical thinking skills and an ability to assess and evaluate data, technical and legal information to reach a decision and make recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills, evidence of building open dialogues and reporting findings to stakeholders clearly and giving clear, informed and robust recommendations for further action
  • Experience of negotiating and influencing at a senior level
  • Experience of robust evidence-based decision making in complex areas
  • Experience of working effectively independently and in a team
  • Experience of working within project management and/or the development and delivery of end to end processes and evaluation of processes/outcomes
