A UK Top 50 Commercial law firm, are looking for a driven Licensing Paralegal or enthusiastic LPC graduate, to join their market leading Real Estate division, in which you would be working with leading clients within the Retail and Leisure sector. Notably this role is currently fully remote, however you will be based out of their state-of-the-art Bristol office post COVID-19.

This is what you’ll be doing

·        Dealing with licensing matters for the Real Estate team’s client, requiring licensing services (clients include Pubs, restaurants, bars, hotels, festivals, sports venues and retailers)

·        Carry out various licensing work, including applications for new premises, applications to vary premises, personal license applications and pavement licenses etc

·        Assist with the preparation of hearing papers

·        Work with real estate fee earners, to ensure the licensing aspects of a particular project are in place

·        Prepare reports for clients, and liaise with clients on a regular basis in order to progress matters

·        Liaise with police, local authorities and licensing offers

·        Maintain and build excellent relationships with clients

The experience you’ll bring to the team

·        Experience as a Paralegal within Licensing (either in house or in private practice) is preferred, however excellent LPC graduates are also encouraged to apply

·        An enthusiasm for property law, and a real interest in Licensing

·        Ability to manage a busy workload

·        Good IT skills, including experience with case management systems (ideally SolCase)

·        Excellent attention to detail

·        Excellent client care and communication skills over the phone and email
