What the Maintenance Technician will be doing

The ideal Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for maintaining all waste asset types including waste water treatment works, sewage pumping stations, and equipment on our AAD plant.

• Carry out scheduled planned maintenance work on mechanical equipment related to the AAD plant in compliance with company procedures to minimise plant breakdowns.
• Investigate the nature of plant failures and subsequently carry out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to avoid interruptions to the AAD process and waste water treatment works.
• Install, refurbish, and commission mechanical plant to specification and on time.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings of various plants to ensure correct tolerance and fits are maintained for efficient plant operation.
• Maintain a general knowledge of the water treatment process and the AAD plant to enable an accurate and speedy assessment of problems and their consequential results.

What the successful Maintenance Technician will bring to the team

This role is suitable for someone who has.

• Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, City & Guilds or ONC in mechanical engineering, or relevant experience in a similar role.
• Driving license.
• Ability to work alone and as a member of a team.
• IT literate in Microsoft Office applications.
• Specific knowledge of chemical dosing systems, rotating machinery, hydraulics and pneumatics, and various pumps would be advantageous.
