Management Accountant

Then look no further, I have just the role for you!

This is what you'll be doing

You will be working closely, and reporting into, the Head of Finance. You will be a part of a very fast-paced, progressive and varied finance team and be responsible for managing one member of the team.

  • Provide month end accounting and reporting the financial performance of the business across commercial based departments, and to the operations team (senior management).
  • Working on a tight 5-day month end close.
  • Complete balance sheets and reconciliations including investigations and resolutions of variances with Balance sheets.
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Weekly reporting of key financial data.
  • Preparation and VAT returns on a quarterly basis
  • Monthly P&L forecasting of overheads
  • Prepare, and support the annual financial audit.
  • Stock take.

The experience you'll bring to the team

  • Fully qualified or nearly qualified- currently studying your Professional Papers
  • Someone who can hit the ground running, who doesn't need hand holding and can use their own initiative
  • Someone with strong communication skills to liaise across departments/ with senior managers on board working in a finance business partnering manner
  • 3 years' experience within a similar role
  • Strong Excel skills, Sage 200 will be a bonus
  • Ideally majority of the time in the office with some flexibility on hybrid for the right person
  • Distribution experience would be advantageous but not compulsory
