Job Title: Management Accountant
About the Role:
My client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Management Accountant to manage accurate and timely month-end financial processes for specific enabling service areas. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of technical financial treatment, providing a true and fair view of financial performance while maintaining compliance with their financial policies, procedures, and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post monthly accounting journals and regular accruals into SAP for month-end activities.
- Complete various cost reconciliations and some balance sheet reconciliations.
- Produce accurate and timely information, including month-end close and reporting, to support decision-making and compliance within the business.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide commentary to the business, participating in business cost review meetings.
- Collaborate with business and enabling services to prepare and complete financial plans (budgets and run rates), organizing and leading business planning sessions.
- Provide detailed analysis and understanding of cost drivers and areas of controllable expenditure, focusing on operational efficiency, base-level costs, and cost trends.
- Support regulatory reporting and budgetary processes, working with external and internal audit teams as required.
- Identify and improve or eliminate inefficient processes within the direct team.

About You:
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following skills and experience:
- ACCA or CIMA (part-qualified or qualified)
- Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system (e.g., Oracle)
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and work with different stakeholders to manage expectations.
- Extensive experience in a similar role, including posting journals, reconciling cost and balance sheet accounts, and producing and reviewing reports with budget holders.
- Drive and energy to produce excellent results and continuously improve relationships, outputs, and processes.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, tactful, and flexible, with strong oral and written communication skills.
