MANUFACTURING CONTROLLER - INSIDE IR35 - £23.64 PER HOUR - STORES EXPERIENCE NEEDED - BPSS OR WILLING TO UNDERGO - 12 MONTHS - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS - STEVENAGE (FULLTIME ONSITE)
Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a Manufacturing Controller to join our client on an initial 12 month deal from their major site in Stevenage.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Controller to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the efficient management of stores and inventory in a dynamic stores environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the loading, control, and monitoring of work packages within a manufacturing setting. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in organized and hands-on environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage stock control and storekeeping activities, including monitoring shelf life of items.
* Load manufacturing cells with required jobs, adhering to planned lead and cycle times to meet manufacturing schedules and delivery targets.
* Perform packing tasks, utilizing hand tools, and manage the receiving and issuing of tooling.
* Maintain accurate computer records, ensuring up-to-date data.
* Execute kitting activities to streamline production processes.
* Safely load and unload Lorries as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience within a stores environment or manufacturing control is essential.
* Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
* Flexibility to work diverse shift patterns as required.
* Keen attention to detail to ensure precision in tasks.
* Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong initiative and the ability to solve challenges autonomously.
* Adaptability to changing demands and tasks.
* Completion of manual handling and lifting & slinging training, including overhead crane operation.
* ESD training to ensure safe handling of sensitive equipment.
Desirable Skills:
* Proficiency in PC skills, including Excel.
* Possession of a valid fork lift truck license.
* Familiarity with Kanban and 2 bin systems.
* Experience using an Enterprise Planning System, such as SAP.
