Matrimonial Assistant

The opportunity:
A leading high street law firm is looking for a driven and experienced Matrimonial Assistant to join their growing team in the Cardiff office. This is an amazing opportunity for a LPC student/ graduate looking to progress their career. This role will offer the right candidate a training contract opportunity and fantastic support to help with development, within a highly regarded and experienced team. The firm offer a competitive salary starting at £21,000 and will be dependent on experience as well as staff development and progression in a supportive working environment.


This is what you will be doing as a Matrimonial Assistant:
You will be assisting and providing support to the Matrimonial and Private client Fee-earners
You will be communicating with clients, the courts and schedule meetings
You will be taking phone calls, emails that the clients send and prioritize urgent matters
You will be assisting with filing documents with registries, commissioning affidavits, obtaining court transcripts
You will be audio typing and dictating
You will be assisting with the preparation of supporting materials for applications and trial


The experience you will bring to the team as a Matrimonial Assistant:
You will have had at least 1 years’ experience working as a Matrimonial Assistant
General administrative experience
You will be personable and able to build relationships
You must have strong attention to detail and work efficiently
You have exceptional organisation skills
