What you’ll be doing as a Mechanical Fitter
A key element of this role will be maintenance of all waste asset types including wastewater Treatment works, Sewage pumping stations and mechanical equipment on combined sewer overflows
Quality proactive planned maintenance and reactive faults on mechanical equipment.
Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on mechanical equipment relating to the Sewage Pumping Stations in compliance with company procedures in order to minimize plant breakdowns.
Investigating the nature of plant failures and subsequently carrying out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to avoid interruptions to the Sewage Pumping Stations and Waste Water Treatment Works in order to ensure compliance
Carrying out the installations, refurbishment and commissioning of mechanical plant to specification and on time
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings of various plant to ensure correct tolerance and fits are maintained for efficient plant operation
What the successful Mechanical Fitter will bring to the team
You will hold a valid driving licence
Able to travel to multiple sites within the area.
The successful candidate will be subject to a satisfactory medical review with our Occupational Health provider as you may be required to work in confined spaces.
You will also be required to take part in our standby rota.
