The Opportunity
Yolk is a recruiting partner for one of Wales’ largest organisations which delivers a valuable public service. We are supporting them to recruit a dual skilled mechanical fitter/maintenance/service engineer on a temporary basis initially for a period of 6m initially. You will have the opportunity to work overtime and on calls as required.
What the Mechanical Fitter/Maintenance Engineer will be doing:
- Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on all equipment
- Investigating the nature of plant failures and subsequently carrying out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible
- Carrying out like for like installations, refurbishment and assist with commissioning equipment to specification and on time
- Inspecting, repairing, installing and testing mechanical and electrical equipment in order to ensure that mandatory legislative requirements are met
What the Mechanical Fitter/Maintenance Engineer will bring to the team:
A recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or City & Guilds or ONC in mechanical engineering or relevant experience in a similar role
Ability to carry out predictive maintenance techniques and resolve issues effectively
Driving license
Here’s what the Successful Mechanical Fitter/Maintenance Engineer will receive in return:
- A pay rate of £13.77ph (equivalent to £26,500)
